I had a parent bring tubes full of gumballs for her son's birthday. I was quick to say, "I want those tubes!" She was so sweet and poured out the rest of them and gave me the rest. I GOT 14!
I had no idea what I wanted to do with them, but I knew I wanted to mail them.
This week, I came up with an idea. I have a niece and two nephews that live a few hours away. We don't get to attend their birthday parties, so I thought it would be fun to ship them a "Party in a Tube."
Here are my awesome tubes!
I made each of them one even though the boys' birthday (twins) was back in the summer.
What is inside you ask? Well, we have confetti at the bottom, a balloon with a little surprise inside, a jolly rancher, some fun curly ribbon, a strip of smiley face stickers, and two pencil top erasers.
I stuck mailing labels right onto the tube, and It only cost $6.21 to mail all three.
I'm praying they make it in one piece. The mail clerk was very shocked that I wanted to mail them as is, and she had a very hard time finding spots to stick the mailing bar codes. I will be calling my sister tomorrow and Friday to check to see if they made it in one piece.
