This Christmas was quiet and relaxing. We spent Christmas Eve making cookies and reading Luke 2 and Millie's new book, Room for a Little One. We had such a great morning too. The girls gave Eric and I the gift of sleeping until 7am. That was awesome and a huge change from previous years.
The girls had a great morning.
Emogene got a couple of pillows. She also got a bluetooth microphone.
We will be tortured, I am sure.
Hattie got a back massager that was very much loved by the parents as well.
She also got some new t-shirts she loved.
Lydda was super excited to get a 3D pen thingy and a remote control Jeep.
Hattie got one too so they have already started racing this morning.
Millie got a teeter totter that EVERYONE has been helping her ride. She says, "teeter totter, teeter totter, teeter totter," the whole time she rides on it. We need Dawson to come over SOON to ride this thing with her. She also was very appreciative of every box she received. We had to basically force her to open them to see what was inside.
Eric and I were blessed with an Amazon Echo from Hattie. One kid has already been banned from saying "Alexa" because I've heard today's weather forecast 43 times.
Eric gave me UNO for the 10th Christmas in a row.
Eric has already had to go to Walgreens to replace the jar of salsa Lydda got for Christmas. There were some tears, but she got to go with him to buy another jar. He also got to use his new vacuum I got him. He mentioned wanting a new cordless for quick kitchen cleanups. I didn't realize he was saying that to see if I wanted one. Well, I got him one anyway. He didn't get me one, so all was good.
My parents came over for lunch. Eric smoked a HUGE turkey, thank you Walmart grocery pick up. I think they chose the biggest one in the store.
Now I want to go take a nap.
Merry Christmas to all!
