I have five precious daughters, and I want to share my joys with you.

Joy is to behold God in everything.

The Hogan

Eric embraced No Shave November/ Movember as usual.
He went with "The Hogan" this year.  It was much better than last year's "I've Got Candy in my Van."

Then, he decided to see what it would look like as his original hair color.
I was dying from laughter and maybe a little nauseous.  He used my mascara.  It looked way worse close up.  Everyone agreed that him turning gray was the best thing for his mustache.

A Mystery

I about fell over a chair that mysteriously appeared in my closet.
I was thinking the girls had tried to peek at the things at the top of my closet.
Then I realized Sweetheart was just rearranging my bathroom and thought the chair should go in my closet.

Nailed It!

Here is how to almost catch your classroom on fire.

First, mix up some salt dough and use cookie cutters to make star shaped ornaments.

Then put it in the microwave for 3 minutes and don't check
on it until you see lots of smoke coming from the microwave.

Then hang your best ornament on the tree.

Pinterest success!

Collins Reese!

I am so blessed to have so many nieces and nephews.
Collins is the newest addition to our family and Tony and Brittany are such good parents.
She arrived quickly on December 12, 2013.
I cried because I wasn't there when she was born.
I want to love and kiss on her all day, but sadly I don't get to see her every day.

Here are some pictures for you to ooooh and aaaah over.
She is beautiful!

The Alligator Whisperer

Emogene's Sixth-Seventh Grade Science Field Trip

Lydda's Family

When Lydda is given pictures in a magazine, this is what she chooses.
I'm the light haired lady.  That is fine with me.  She looks super young.
I'm not so sure about Eric's picture.

Kindness

I love seeing a glimpse of kindness between these two girls.

Repurposed Old Window

My little sister Brittany gave me such a precious gift for Christmas, a niece!
Collins Reese was born December 12th.  She is beautiful and I can't wait to give her a cousin to be her friend for life.  I'll share pictures of Collins later.
First I want to share what Eric and I made for Collins' room.

We have a few old windows in our garage.  I've had them for about 10 years.
I've used a couple for gifts before and wanted to do it again.

Eric sanded and cleaned it up for me.

He then took a break with the little princess.

I painted a thin layer of chalk paint that Brittany had left over from painting Collins' furniture.

I put a little bit of Vaseline on a few spots and then Eric spray painted it white.

After the white paint dried, I went over it with a wet rag and wiped off the paint where I had placed the Vaseline.  There were a few tough spots, so we lightly sanded those.

I bought a pretty cross at H*by L*bby and attached it using G*rilla Glue.

After playing around with my Cricut for a while, I had vinyl letters to add to it.
The handle at the bottom was from our old house (10 years ago).  I had kept it in my kitchen junk drawer all this time.  I guess I knew I would need it some day.  The original handle for the window was gold and didn't look good with the cross.

I love how it turned out.  Eric is not looking forward to anymore projects anytime soon.

Boredom!

I guess Lydda and Emersyn were so bored they were climbing the walls.

Something Has Happened!

Who has two thumbs and is pregnant?

This girl!

Eric and I are ecstatic and unbelievably blessed to be expecting our fourth child.
I am having a great pregnancy so far with minimal tiredness and sickness.  I'm just so excited!

Right now I'm 10 weeks pregnant and had my first ultrasound yesterday.  When I saw that little heartbeat, I teared up a little.  My mom went with me and we will be the only ones to see this little "Bean" for a while.  When I went to show Eric and the girls the ultrasound pics, the computer said the disc was blank (insert sad face).  They will have to wait 8 more weeks to see our little bundle.

We are lovingly calling the baby "Bean."  We do not want to find out what we are having (insert angry sounds and groans from everyone else in our family).  We didn't find out with Emogene or Hattie either.  I am finding it a little bit more challenging to plan the crib bedding though.  I think I may order it after the baby is born.  Bean will be in our room in a cradle for a while anyway.

I'll have more posts later to tell you all we have been doing, including
Christmas and our surprise trip to Disney World.
