Goofing Off

I had an appointment to make my feet pretty paint my toenails.  Hattie and Emogene's teachers, Melody and Tiffani, took them to the mall to entertain them.  I think Emogene and Hattie did all the entertaining.  They have such sweet teachers.

Loopy Lous

Here was how it went.  I have been having female issues, and that is exactly how one of my students worded it in front of the whole class thanks to her playing on the playground with Emogene.  I had a pretty good convo with Em to let her know to keep some things private.  I called my doctor on Monday to find out what to do because it was going on for 2 weeks and the pain was not fun.  They directed me to the ER because they couldn't see me that day.  Well the ER, in all it gloriousness, did their most common treatment, and sent me home with a bottle of pain medication.  Well, that to me was a wasted day because they didn't fix the problem at all.  They just treated me like a drug seeker and sent me on my way.  I can't take that medication while working or driving, so I rely rather unsuccessfully on ibuprofen while at work and use the glorious pain meds as soon as I get home.  My home is a disaster and my kids are surviving on cereal and their dad's love, because I spend most of the rest of the night laying in the bed, which is why I had never grasped the full effects of those loopy lous in a bottle.  Let's fast forward to last night.  I had had an extra special painful day on Thursday.  I also had a meeting that night.  I texted Eric to please bring me my loopy lous to the meeting.  My thought was, "I will have some relief from the pain and the meeting is about 4 hours long which would give it time to wear off before I had to drive home. All would be fine!"  Well, I had never had to actually do anything/ function on the loopy lous... until that night.  You see, I was in charge of the meeting.  Oh, I left that part out didn't I.  I was the sole person doing all of the talking.  I'm pretty sure the whole room knew I was flying high as a kite and will never come to another one of my meetings again.  I think I took whole minute blinks while talking.  I don't even know if they understood what I was saying.  I think I got lost a few times and kept forgetting where I put things.  The next meeting is in June.  We shall see if anyone shows up.

I love Siri!

I've always wanted to call someone a "sucka."  Now thanks to Siri's hearing loss, I can!

What!!!!?

Emogene had the nerve to call us old!

Heee Heee Heee!

Really?  Who wouldn't giggle after seeing this sign?
It was at a park Eric and I visited on our last date.

30 Day Nerium Results

I must say I am impressed.  Without taking the before picture,
I don't think I would have noticed the huge difference.
I guess if you look at your face everyday, it is hard to see it changing.
You can check it out and order it here.

Easter Fun!

We were invited to an Easter party given by Jessica's church.
It was at a large park.  Of course the petting zoo was he main attraction for my girls.

I didn't get any pictures of the egg hunt.  I was a little frazzled.  There were about 1000 people there and Eric wasn't with us.  I was terrified I would lose them in the crowd.  I told them to meet at a huge blow up slide if we ever got separated.  I didn't lose a single one.

The second time they wanted to go, Lydda opted to stay out so she could eat a gigantic pixie stick.
With Lydda, candy will win every time.

Easter 2013

Easter dresses- check

Excited Little Girls on Easter- check
Terrible Easter Pictures- check

 This one was the best!

Lydda loved her puzzle.
Emogene and Hattie each got a favorite movie.
They are still enjoying the candy.  I am trying to resist the temptation to burn the candy in a huge bonfire
while doing a happy dance and laughing an evil laugh throw away the candy.
"Can I have my candy of the day?"
"Can I have my chocolate of the day?"
"Can I have my candy of the day?"
"Can I have my chocolate of the day?"
"Can I have my candy of the day?"
"Can I have my chocolate of the day?"
It is driving me crazy!
Maybe we should have candy for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for a couple of days.
I think they would love me more.
I am not a bad mother.
I am not a bad mother.
I am not a bad mother.
Maybe if I keep saying it, it will be true.

STILL Working on It!

I am still working on Lydda and Hattie's room.  The girls and I are working hard to get rid of the horrible, disgusting, tornado casualty looking toy room.  I am trying to come up with different ways to contain the toys in each of their rooms so the toy room can be transformed hopefully into an office for me.  This is what I came up with for their dress-up stuff.  The container has two compartments on the inside.  One side holds the clothes, and the other holds accessories like hats, wigs, crowns, boas, etc.  The front pocket says "Royal Garb" and hold their jewelry.  The two mesh pockets on the sides hold Lydda's dress-up shoe collection.  I find that since I have their stuff organized a little bit neater and in their room, they have been playing with everything a lot more.  Now I need to find an egg container because they had a plastic egg explosion in their room.  Ahhhhh!

Here are pictures of a few other containers I am using to help organize their junk toys.

I have one more large container coming in this week.  I have a mirror to hang and bedding to purchase. I have two nightstands to sand and paint.  Then I will be done!
